Part time students enroll on a per/class basis.  Each class is held once a week for 3.5 hours.  See ‘Schedule’ for class times and info.

All students in the core program are given their own personal work space and granted 24hr. access to the studio and all of it’s resources. Along with figure drawing and painting students will  work on perspective, anatomy, cast drawing/painting, composition/design, still life, and etc. They will have the opportunity to work closely with all of the teachers on our staff. Monthly, core students will also have the opportunity to visit with our guest artists, academicians and museum and gallery representatives. The goal of this program is to create highly competent working artists.  Each core student will be enrolled in three weekly painting and drawing classes.

Bridge Academy Scholarship Policies

The Bridge Academy is a private institution dedicated to promoting fine-art in the local community, the region, and the nation.  The academy strives to root its curriculum and activities in the instruction of the fundemental principles of observational drawing and design. The faculty is strongly committed to excellence in the execution of these core design principles.

What is a Bridge Academy scholarship?

There are three types of scholarships / grants that can be awarded to Bridge Academy students. (1) Tuition compensation. (2) Tuition compensation plus an art supply gift certificate. (3) Internship Grant – a monetary award to assist a student who interns with a Bridge Academy affiliated professional.

Who is elligible for a scholarship?

Bridge Academy scholarships are based strictly on merit and achievement.  Students who embody the standards of excellence in their work, and a professional work ethic that we, the academy officers, deem worthy of award will be eligible for scholarships.  Scholarships can be awarded to newly enrolled students who’s entry-level portfolio exemplifies exceptional work ethic, ability, and potential. Scholarships are also awarded to students who have been enrolled at the academy for at least one year who’s work exemplifies the standards afore mentioned. All scholarships are awarded at the discression of the Bridge Academy.

Scholarship application procedure

Students who are interested in a scholarship award must submit a portfolio and a scholarship application. Scholarship applications / portfolios are reviewed and appraised by Bridge Academy administration and instructors.

Scholarship time-frames and supervision

The Bridge Academy opperates on a three-session annual schedule. Each session is four months. Scholarships are awarded for one to three four-month sessions. Scholarship students must have 100% attendance (unless excused for medical reasons or uncontrollable circumstances) throughout the time-frame the scholarship is awarded. Scholarship students must also complete 100% of all assignments given during the scholarship time-frame. Scholarship students who do not meet the award requirments will have their scholarship revoked. Scholarship requirements will be monitored by Bridge Academy management.

Additional scholarship information and policy adherence

It should be clear that scholarship awards are based strictly on merit and achievment, and pursuant to the conflict of interest policy. Nepotism and any form of favoritism unrelated to academic achievment is unacceptable and non existent in the choosing of scholarships at the Bridge Academy.
